ECU's Men's Basketball Wins Sixth-Straight Home Game

ADA, OKLA. – The East Central University men's basketball team extended its home-winning streak to six games, with an 82-74 victory over Harding in Great American Conference action at the Kerr Activities Center.

Scoring

First Half: 41-35

The teams traded shots for the first three minutes

The Bisons (5-6, 3-2 GAC) then used a 7-0 run to push the lead to six (11-5)

The Tigers (6-4, 3-2 GAC) followed with a 10-4 run to tie the game at 15, with 11:47 remaining

After a 20-all tie, ECU used a 5-0 run to take control for the rest of the half

25-20, 8:32 remaining

Harding would cut the deficit to one, but the Tigers never let it get closer than that

ECU lead by as many as nine

Second Half: 41-39

The Tigers pushed the lead to double digits in the first 2:30 minutes (49-39)

The teams traded runs throughout the stanza, with the Bisons cutting the lead to four

ECU would push back and increase the lead

Led by as many as 15 (70-55, 8:11 remaining)

The final Harding run cut the deficit to four (74-70), with 2:55 remaining

The Tigers kept the lead between 4-6 points until the final eight seconds

Two free-throws gave the final lead of eight

Sr. Da'Rion King earned his first double-double of the year and the fifth of his career

Talley's 28 points got him within 16 points of the 1,000 career point mark

Would be the 19th member of the ECU 1,000 Point Club

Started the season with 763 career points

Now has 984 career points

Both teams sank 12 free throws

ECU: 12-of-20 / Harding: 12-of-17

The Tigers recorded three more overall shots and two triples than the Bisons
