Stitt says he wants more diversity on OU Board of Regents

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt says he would like to see more diversity on the board of regents at the University of Oklahoma, which has been rocked by a series of racist incidents in recent years.

Stitt said Thursday that he's aware the seven-member board doesn't have an African-American member and that he wants a board that better reflects the diversity of OU's campus. A recent report on the university's enrollment shows that about 33 percent of students on the Norman campus identify as a racial minority.
