February 22, 2019

ALVA, Okla. – Officials at institutions all over the region are seeking alternative plans to weekend athletics schedules, and Northwestern Oklahoma State University is no different. Northwestern’s baseball series against Oklahoma Baptist has been pushed back due to the weekend forecast.

Originally scheduled to be played Friday and Saturday, the Rangers will now host OBU in a three-game set beginning Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at Glass Family Field at Myers Stadium. The two teams will play a doubleheader Monday afternoon beginning at 1.

Northwestern, ranked fifth in the Central Region by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, enters the series with a 10-1 overall record and 3-0 in the Great American Conference. The Rangers’ opponents set just outside the regional rankings as they visit Alva with at 5-6 and 1-2 in the conference.
