Laura Spradlin has Career Night Against East Central

 


ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - A night that started off with Laura Spradlin singing the National Anthem ended with her putting in career records for points, rebounds and blocks as the Lady Tigers were defeated by East Central, 75-40.

Spradlin played 14 minutes scoring three points, grabbing seven rebounds and swatting two shots. Eden Crow led the Lady Tigers in scoring with eight points and hauling in three rebounds.

Ouachita would score the first points on the game in nine seconds as Eden Crow would sink a turnaround jump shot. The Tigers would push their lead out to four on a run led by Madison Brittain. The Lady Tigers would go down by as many as four before a bucket and a foul by Alivia Huell would cut the lead to one with two minutes left in the quarter. East Central would go on a 6-0 run to end the quarter as they would have a 24-17 lead after the first.

Ouachita would go down by 14 in the second quarter before a 6-0 run started by an Eden Crow three pointer would cut the lead to eight. The Lady Tigers, however, would go into the break down 41-25. The Tigers in the second half would have trouble scoring and would drop the game to East Central on a final of 70-45.

The Lady Tigers will close out their season on Saturday against Southeastern Oklahoma State at 1:00 PM at Bill Vining Arena. It is senior night so come out and support the lone senior in Alivia Huell.
