OBU Softball Spilts Pair with Henderson State

 


ARKADELPHIA, Ark – Oklahoma Baptist splits a pair with Henderson State on Saturday. OBU won 2-0 in game one and lost 8-9 in game two.

In the first game, Demi Dobbs homered to left field for the game winning score. Allowing Aspen Grimes to score. Shelby Savage also recorded a hit. Katie Long got her third win of the season giving up no runs and only five hits.

In the second game, the Lady Bison had huge fifth inning. With seven hits, OBU was able to score four runs. Shelby Savage started off the inning with a single and was the first to score off of hits by Tyra Garcia and McKenna Anderson. In the seventh inning, OBU scored three runs. Franki Hull led off the scoring with a single to center field then scoring off of a fielder's choice. Overall Dobbs, Grimes, Savage, Garcia, Grabin, Anderson, Johnson, Hull, and Demaree all recorded runs in today's double header.

OBU begins its next series at home against Ouachita Baptist on Friday, March 8.
