#19/15 Muleriders drop midweek game with Wonder Boys

 


Magnolia, Ark. – The SAU Baseball team dropped their midweek game against GAC rivals Arkansas Tech, committing six errors as the Wonder Boys scored 16 runs on 16 hits to take the win in this game.

The Wonder Boys put up runs in the second, third, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth innings as the Mulerider defense committed three errors that led directly to Wonder Boys runs.

Cooper King and Dakota Wright were the only Muleriders to record more than one hit, with King going 2-4 and Wright going 2-3. King hit a three-run home run in the third inning, his second of the inning, and Wright and Justin Hanlin both recorded doubles.

Austin Baker and Devin Beard both recorded RBI singles.

Tanner Vaught started this game and took the loss, dropping him to 3-2 on the season. Vaught only lasted two innings, allowing four hits and two walks, as well as six runs (two earned).

JP Casey and Ryan Williams both threw three innings of relief, each allowing three runs, with only one earned.

The Muleriders drop to 21-11 on the season as they travel up to Bethany this weekend to take on Southern Nazarene in a three-game conference series.
