Wonder Boys fall in Warrensburg

WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Dylan McDearmon went 3-for-5 with a double and home run, while also scoring all three Tech runs, however the Arkansas Tech Wonder Boys baseball team (25-14, 17-7 GAC) came up short, falling 9-3 to Central Missouri (23-11) Tuesday afternoon at Crane Stadium at Tompkins Field.

The Wonder Boys return to Great American Conference play this weekend as they host No. 22 Southern Arkansas in a three game series at Carl Baswell Field. The series is scheduled to start April 12 at 6 p.m.

Arkansas Tech had five players record a hit, led by Dylan McDearmon who went 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and also scored all three Tech runs.

McDearmon now has nine home runs and 14 doubles on the year.

Britt Stroth recorded his 14th multi-hit game of the season after he went 2-for-5.

Zack Kesterson extended both of his streaks after going 1-for-4. Kesterson now has reached base safely in 20 straight game, and also has an active 16-game hitting-streak.

Drake Norton took the loss, his second of the year. Norton allowed five runs on 11 hits, five of the hits going for extra-bases.

Central Missouri outhit Tech 17-8.
