Woman's body found in northeastern Oklahoma creek

 


SKIATOOK, Okla. (AP) — Authorities in Osage County say they are working to determine whether a body discovered in a northeastern Oklahoma creek is that of a missing woman.

Osage County sheriff's deputies say the body was discovered Sunday in a creek south of Skiatook, about 105 miles (169 kilometers) northeast of Oklahoma City.

Officials say the body was discovered about 5:30 p.m. near where the car of 51-year-old Laura Pace of Skiatook was found last week. Pace was last seen at a Skiatook Walmart early Thursday.
