Memorial services for Debra Rees will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Women's Building at the Woods County Fairgrounds with eulogy by Adam Jordan. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at http://www.whartonfuneralchapel.com.

Debra Ann Rees, daughter of Elizabeth Jane (Pack) and Joseph Thebo, was born on April 16, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri. She passed away at her home with her family in attendance on September 21, 2019, at the age of 64 years, 5 months, 5 days. A mother of three biological and five bonus kids, she was the significant other of Carroll Mahoney for 23 years.

Debbie worked at Golden Point from 1972 to 1975, later at 7-11 Quick Store for a time. Moving to Alva, Oklahoma, in 1981, she worked at the VIP Supper Club, from 1981 to 1991, operated a home daycare from 1991 to 1994, worked at Ampride from 1994 to 2002, worked at the Holiday Motel as a housekeeper from 2002 to 2004, and then she got the privilege of working at Beadles Nursing Home as head housekeeper and laundry from 2004 to the day she passed away. She loved all her residents and coworkers.

Debbie's hobbies were doing crossword puzzles (which she loved doing), straightening kids up, family get-togethers, traveling, making her famous tacos for anyone that heard of them and wanted them, growing plants, crafts and spending lots of time with grandkids.

Debbie was preceded in death by both her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth; her significant other, Carroll; brothers Joe Thebo and Keith Thebo; and grandson Bryse Alan Johnson.

Debbie is survived by her kids: Sherry Maxwell (of Alva), Stephanie Burden and husband Jackie (of Hobart), Dalton Mahoney (of Broken Bow), step-kids Jacobi Mahoney and significate other Sabrena (of Pueblo Colorado), Justin Sellers (of Enid), Jessie Sellers and wife Lisa (of Bartlesville), special daughter Melissa Cunningham and significant other Dean Steffens (of Alva), 13 grandchildren: Mandra Maxwell, Jaden Liebsch, Paityn Liebsch, Kasidy, Gavin, Karly Mahoney, Taylor and Laura Cunningham, James Sellers, Valerie and Stvn Hartman, Tanner Sellers; three great-grandchildren Za'Niyah, Macee and Drew; and her brothers, Eric Thebo (of Alva), Jessie Brynjulson (of New Mexico), and Shadow Reupert (of Las Vegas, Nevada).

She helped raise all of her nieces and nephews, and helped them with their children, Dawn Head and children Taylor, Tara, Tabitha, great-nephew Corbin, Jason Thebo and children Austin, Brandon, Maranda, Sebastian, Jeremy Thebo and children: Madison, Bryan, Amber, Ashley, Kaitlyn, Amanda Jane Thebo and children Elizabeth, Zander, Tesla.
