Northwestern suffers tough home loss to SAU

ALVA, Okla. - Offensive struggles plagued the Northwestern Oklahoma State University football team Saturday afternoon as the Rangers fell 40-7 at the hands of Southern Arkansas at Ranger Field.

Northwestern's record dropped to 2-4 this season, while Southern Arkansas improved to 5-1. The Rangers travel to Russellville, Ark., to take on the winless Wonder boys of Arkansas Tech at 2 p.m.

Gavin Garner had the biggest highlight of the game for Northwestern when he made a move up the middle and broke away for a 34-yard touchdown. The Rangers drove the length of the field and scored to start the sec...
