Texas-Tyler downs Eagles in lightning-shortened match

OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 6, 2019) – Texas-Tyler defeated Oklahoma Christian 3-0 on Wednesday afternoon in a women's soccer match ended prematurely by lightning in the area.

The game had been moved up a day from Thursday due to anticipated rain in the area and the storm arrived with a little more than 15 minutes left on the clock. When officials called for a lightning delay, OC coach Meagan Anderson and her Texas-Tyler counterpart, Stefani Webb, agreed to end the match then, with 70 minutes – the minimum required for a game to officially count – having already been played.
