In an effort to make the payroll system more accurate, efficient and cost effective, the Alva city departments have been working to implement the Nextep system. In the past, some departments depended on employees writing down their hours while others used timekeeping programs. This system is set up for everyone to clock in and out via computer. Employee pay is delivered by direct deposit to their bank accounts. The program also includes human resources services.
