Skeletal remains are McAlester woman missing since 2017

McALESTER, Oka. (AP) — Skeletal remains found two years ago near McAlester are those of a McAlester woman who disappeared more than three years ago, according to Pittsburg County Sheriff Chris Morris.

The remains found in February 2018 have been identified as those of Holly Cantrell, 40, who disappeared in January 2017, Morris said Tuesday.

The remains had been sent to the University of North Texas for DNA testing and identification, Morris said.

Cantrell disappeared in January 2017 when she left her job at McAlester Regional Health Center about noon for lunch. Police later determined she was...
