Byron Koehn

Celebration of life services for Byron Koehn will take place at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Byron Lee Koehn, son of the late Bryson and Nathalie (Decker) Koehn, was born January 13, 1957, at Enid, and passed away March 26, 2020, at Enid, at the age of 63 years, 2 months and 13 days. Byron attended and graduated from Medford Public Schools in 1975 and received his bachelor's degree from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1979.

On August 14, 1982, he was united in marriage to Karen Bishop at the First United Methodist Church in Alva. Byron worked for Cimarron Oil Company, manager of Merrifield Office Supply, Chesapeake and Mach Resources. He served on and was president of the NWOSU Alumni board, Kiwanis, and the Rowdy Rangers!

Byron loved to fish, play golf and support Alva and Northwestern. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Bishop) Koehn of Alva; his sister, Sandra Foraker and husband, Roger, of Garber; his brother, Dwight Koehn and wife, Beverly, of Enid; mother-in-law, Hazel Bishop of Oklahoma City; brothers-in-law, Chuck Bishop of Oklahoma City, Bill Bishop of Broken Arrow, and Tim Bishop and wife, Diana, of Noble; sister-in-law, Kathy Lohmann of Oklahoma City; cousins, a niece, a ton of nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to NWOSU Foundation or the charity of choice.
