Tulsa police officer in coma, but stable, after altercation

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A Tulsa police officer is in a medically-induced coma after he lost consciousness and a pulse following an altercation with a patient who was being transported in an ambulance, police said Friday.

Officer Sean Love was responding to a call from an ambulance company about a combative patient, Tulsa police said in a statement. After Love engaged in a physical altercation with the patient, police say he suffered a medical emergency, lost consciousness and had no pulse.
