Lady Rangers wrap up GAC Championships in Hot Springs

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Lady Rangers concluded their 2021 spring season in Hot Springs, Ark.

The Red and Black completed three rounds in two days at the Hot Springs Country Club and recorded a team score of 347-334-342 – 1023.

Ashley Watts led Northwestern after carding a three round 248. She tallied five birdies and improved her game after each round. Watts carded an 85-82-81 in Hot Springs.

Madison Masch carded an 87 after her first round and improved the second round by nine shots after turning in a score of 78. The next day, she recorded an 83 to finish the contest scoring 248 after three rounds. Masch also recorded two birdies at the GAC Championships.

Mackena Tennyson recorded a three-round total of 87-86-93 – 266. Tennyson was able to improve her game in the second round by one shot during the second round.

Savannah Monahan turned in a three-round total of 267. Monahan recorded one birdie and eagled hole 16.

Angela Egger carded a 93 in the first round and improved throughout the second round by five shots after turning in an 88. Egger finished the third round with a score of 89. She finished the tournament shooting 270.

Henderson State claimed first place after turning in a three round team total of 294-296-306 – 896.

Katie Whitfield of Arkansas Tech led the GAC Championships. Whitfield carded a 70-72-77 – 219 after three rounds the Hot Springs Country Club.
