City of Kiowa approves budget, about to hire a new city clerk, slightly reduces electric rates

Wednesday, Sept. 1, Kiowa's City Council is to meet at 7 p.m., for a special meeting. The purpose is to hire a new city clerk, according to City Administrator Sam Demel.

The council held a special meeting Aug. 18 to consider the 2022 budget and a few other subjects. They also held an executive session to discuss interviewing for a new city clerk. That's after city clerk Cady Tucker left the city in August to teach Spanish and Art at South Barber High School.
