WICHITA, Kan. (AP) — Firefighters found the body of a 50-year-old man inside a burning home on the east side of Wichita, authorities said.

The fire was reported around 9:45 a.m. Monday, when firefighters where called to the home just south of the Crestview County Club, fire officials said. Arriving firefighters first put out flames that had overtaken the home's garage, then moved into the home to extinguish several small fires.

Crews found the man's body inside the home. The victim's name was not immediately released.
