Alva man accused of underpaying for two crossbows

An Alva man is accused of taking a crossbow from Walmart twice using the same technique. Dillon Von Nethercutt, 31, of Alva, is charged with two misdemeanor counts of larceny of merchandise.

According to court records, Alva police were notified of the under-ringing theft on Aug. 9. Alva Police Officer Andrew McVicker met with Scott Poole, a manager at Walmart, who showed him video footage from Aug. 6. At 3:18 p.m. the video showed a man in a red shirt holding a barcode from a child’s toy bow in the palm of his hand and scanning it.
