Lobb earns GAC setter of the week

RUSSELLVILLE, Arkansas – Northwestern Oklahoma State Ranger volleyball opened their 2022 season over the past weekend finishing the Missouri Southern State Tournament 3-1 with wins over William Jewell, Truman and Newman.

Ranger junior Cameron Lobb earned Great American Conference setter of the week after the opening weekend for the Rangers after a standout performance.

Lobb finished the week with 179 assists and 25 digs over the weekend in the four matches. The opening one of the tournament she helped lead the Rangers to a sweep over William Jewell 3-0 with a 44 assist performance with nine digs.

In Match 2 on Friday she helped the Rangers to a five set match with 53 assists and 10 digs to close out Friday.

She followed the Friday outing with a stellar performance Saturday morning with 30 assists helping lead to a three set sweep. In the final match of the weekend the Rangers topped Newman 3-1 with a 52 assist match along with five digs.

The Rangers will travel to Denton, Texas, this weekend for the Texas Women's Tournament – a four-match weekend against Eastern New Mexico, Midwestern State, Texas Woman's and Fort Hays State.
