McClary looks to the skies for inspiration

Chuck McClary stands by a photograph of an aircraft showing his technique of light painting. Setting the camera for long exposure, he uses a headlamp moved back and forth to expose the foreground (airplane) against a sky filled with stars.

Chuck McClary's interest in photography began with a job. Now he works full time doing photography and video. Photography is also his hobby.

McClary who is based in Hesston, Kansas, says his photography started while he was working at a small museum in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. "There were two employees, myself and the curator. He was much older than me. Since I was young, I was the person who did the social media. Along with that came posting about museum events.
