I read an article this week, which is apparently old news, about the health status of former President Jimmy Carter.

According to the article, he is having some major issues, not unexpected at 98, but still serious enough for him to decide to opt for hospice care.

I have a lot of respect for Jimmy Carter, none of which is political. Our political beliefs are at polar opposite ends of the universe, especially his stance on abortion. He is as far left as I am right. Yet, I can’t think of a better person who has resided in the White House in my lifetime. Can you?
