Alva FFA members attend Big 3 Field Days

On July 18–20, 1,500 FFA and 4-H members gathered in Stillwater for the Big 3 Field Days Livestock Judging contest. Alva was represented by 10 FFA members and 11 4-H members. On Day 1 of the contest students judged sheep and goats. On Day 2 they judged cattle and Day 3 was swine judging.
The Alva 4-H and FFA members stayed at Lake Carl Blackwell and enjoyed cooking out, playing cards and swimming in their spare time.
Reese McMurphy placed fifth in junior 4-H cattle and Bentley Lott placed second in junior 4-H swine.
