Gabriel Hoover, a 19-year-old Alva High School graduate, won two gold medals at the state competition of SkillsUSA Workforce Development event in March of 2023. He represented Autry Tech in Enid where he currently attends classes in graphic arts.

Hoover went on to earn national recognition winning the college gold medal in Graphics Imaging-Sublimation at the annual SkillsUSA Workforce Development event held in Atlanta, Georgia, in June.
