Alva police were contacted by a man who said furniture had been taken from his storage unit, and he believed he knew who did it.

According to court documents, on July 29, Alva Police Officer Tamira McLelland was asked by Dispatch to call David Scott for a report of a theft. She called Scott who said he was staying at the Ranger Inn during the end of June when Derek Zaragoza was managing the hotel.
