Elva Lucille (Elva Lu) Hasty passed at the age of 85 on August 21, 2023. She was born on March 16, 1938 in Alva, Oklahoma, to Guy Emerson and Audrey Elizabeth (Bainum) Kinzie. Elva Lu grew up in Alva, graduated Alva High School, and then moved on to graduate from Oklahoma City University.

Among her various jobs, Elva Lu worked at Kinzie Industries and the Alva Airport, tending the terminal and refueling airplanes.
