Cherokee man charged with domestic abuse

A Cherokee man has been charged with two felonies following a reported domestic disturbance.
Carl Schneeberger, 30, of Cherokee, has been charged with domestic assault and battery by strangulation and with domestic abuse – assault and battery. The first charge is punishable by not less than nor more than 3 years imprisonment, or by a fine of $3,000, or both. The second crime is punishable by imprisonment up to four years or a fine of $5,000.
