I hope everyone has a great time. Please plan a family gathering, because life being what it is, you never know when the last time you will see each other will be.
This will be a busy month. The county fair is next week and then the Big Cruise & Car show is coming up. My brother Jack is going to be gone that weekend, so the Falcons will be absent.
What excitement is going on in our city government! It was reported (falsely) that the entire water department quit, creating speculation that there was a problem with the city leaders. While they could be part of the problem, the three people who left had valid reasons for their departure, just bad timing all leaving at once.
Also, the city needs another sanitation employee. Besides being shorthanded already, my son Jerry is out of commission for a while. He is getting along a little bit better every day, so prayers may be working. I don't know about now but for a long time he was the only truck driver because he has a CDL. The new truck helped because you can drive it on a regular license.
Every time the swimming pool is mentioned, there are so many different opinions on a cure it is mind boggling. Even with so much misinformation floating around, it is great the local citizens at least get their two cents worth in.
This about sizes it up for too many daughters:
Dad: You should become a cop.
Daughter: I don't want to.
Dad: You chase the same men they do, might as well get paid for it.
I just noticed this. I hate to brag, but cashiers are always checking me out.
