NWOSU women compete in Hot Chile Pepper Festival

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Northwestern Oklahoma State traveled to Arkansas for the Hot Chile Pepper Festival. The Rangers women placed ninth overall in the cross country meet.

The Rangers were led by Cadence Long-Torres finishing with a final time of 20:21.8 placing 25th overall in the meet and first for the Rangers with an average mile time of 6:33. Asia Williams was second for the Rangers placing 29th in the meet with a time of 20:49.7 averaging 6:42 mile.

Karlee Trammell was the third Ranger to cross the finish line with a final time of 22:06.9. Trammell ran a 7:06 average placing 60 overall in the meet. Reina Gonzales placed 77th with a final time of 22:26.9. Harley Woody finished right behind Gonzales with a time of 22:29.1 with a final placing of 78th.

Ely Dorado finished 82nd in the meet with a time of 22:33.8 for Northwestern and was followed by Mary Kate Foster with a time of 22:54.3. placing 90th in the meet.

Northwestern had Jaime Torres-Franco finish next in 111th in the meet with a time of 24:02.9 followed by Haley Combs in 145th at 26:40.01.

The Rangers will travel to McPherson College for the Great Plains Challenge on Oct. 7.
