Ranger men conclude Hot Chile Pepper Festival

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Northwestern Oklahoma State men's cross country concluded the Chile Pepper Festival for their meet at the University of Arkansas. The Rangers placed 29th in the meet overall.

The Rangers were paced by Christian Franklin who finished first for Northwestern placing 127th overall in the meet with an average mile time of 5:19 for 26:30.6. Salat Ibrahim was second for Northwestern with a time of 26:51.2 finishing 154th for a mile time of 5:24.

Riley Herndon was third for the Rangers placing 166th in the meet with a final time of 26:57.5 with an average mile time of 5:25. Aaron Medrano was next with a time of 28:02.9 placing 229th in the meet.

Edward Robledo-Gonzalez was next for Northwestern finishing with a time of 28:07.5 with an average mile time of 5:39. Basheer Suied ran a time of 28:26.0 placing 250th in the Hot Chile Pepper meet followed by Ben Morfin with a time of 28:30.0.

Edgar Reyes finished 258th with a time of 28:31.3 running an average mile of 5:44.Brandon Adolphus was 265th with an average of 5:46 for a total of 28:44.5. Jeremy Smith and Zachary Cox were the next two Rangers. Smith placed 268th with a time of 28:48.8 followed by Cox with a time of 29:07.7 for 275th.

The Rangers will travel to McPherson College on Oct. 7 for the team's next meet: the Great Plains Challenge.
