Last Friday, I had the opportunity to attend a luncheon held in the older gym at Alva High School. This was the gym where basketball was played before the new gym was built. Neither of the gyms had air conditioning until this fall.
From attending school board meetings, I knew that Supt. Tim Argo is looking forward to hosting more events in the gyms now that the space can be cooled. The 2023 Distinguished Goldbugs meal was the first set in the newly cool gym.
