This past Wednesday, State Superintendent Ryan Walters issued an executive memo encouraging schools to pray for Israel and the people in harm’s way in the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Palestine. He even included a sample prayer just in case you didn’t know how to pray for them. I’m having trouble with this one. Why? Well, I will tell you.

I think we need all the prayer and all the God we can get back in school. We have removed ourselves and our kids so far from Jesus and his word and his teachings that anything we can do to get Jesus back on the forefront of our minds is a great idea....
