Burlington's cross country team has 11 runners this year. They practice from 6:15 to 7:15 every weekday morning. The team has competed in four different meets this season, including Alva, Cherokee, Chisholm/Oklahoma Bible Academy and Watonga.

Those who medaled in the top ten are Newt Heatherman, Bodie Cass, Zoey Graham, Chloe Jantz, and Leah Rosenberger. Chloe Jantz and Leah Rosenberger will compete at regionals this Saturday, Oct. 21.
Coach Hamilton said how much she loves coaching cross country and coaching in general.
"It allows me to help students understand and overcome some of life's challenges and that they, the students, can achieve so much through sports or being a part of a sports team." She also feels that the team has improved since last year.
The team has three managers who have assisted them during the season, Kaycee Matzke, Morgan Matzke and Marie McGee.
