Alva Church of God

Alva Church of God is located at 517 9th St. in Alva. Sheryl White is the pastor.

Sunday: Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. followed by morning worship at 10:30 a.m. On Sunday evening, young adults meet at 5 p.m. with a meal and Bible study. At 6 p.m. the youth – grades 6 through 12 – will meet.

At 6:30 p.m. on Sunday the series “The Chosen” will be shown, with refreshments served. The public is invited.

Alva Friends Church

Please meet us for coffee and donut fellowship at 10:15 a.m. every Sunday morning. Worship is at 10:30 a.m. If you cannot make it in person, we are on Facebook at Alva Friends Church Group. The church is located at the corner of College Avenue and Center Street.

Barnes Street Church of Christ

Bible Baptist Church

Sunday: Family Discipleship begins at 9:30 a.m. There are three graded classes for children, teen and adult Bible classes. Join us for a time of learning and fellowship. Family Discipleship emphasizes family learning and provides the tools necessary to help parents teach the Bible to their children.

Morning worship starts at 10:30 a.m. During our morning service we also have a children's church for pre-K to third grade.

We will not have a Sunday evening service so we can minister at the Community Trunk and Treat.

Wednesday: Celebrate Recovery meets at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-based recovery program to help provide a safe place to discover a Savior who can give freedom from hang-ups, hurts and habits. Also at 6:30 we have our midweek prayer meeting and Bible study.

Capron United Methodist Church

Cedar Grove Wesleyan Church

We are a country church that serves Christ and community with agape love. The church is located 7 miles west of Alva, on U.S. Highway 64, turn north onto County Road 370, drive 10 miles to the S curve, then west onto Major Road. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Sacrament meeting (worship service) begins at 10 a.m. each Sunday. Visitors are always welcome to attend all church meetings. 

Sunday School and other meetings follow at 11 a.m. for all ages. The course of study this year is "Come Follow Me -- New Testament." You can find the weekly reading assignments and other materials for home study as well as the Sunday School lesson on the church's website: ChurchofJesusChrist.org under the Library tab at the top of the page. A free download of the library materials is also available for cell phones. 

Youth groups meet Wednesday nights.

College Hill Church of Christ

The College Hill Church of Christ, 1102 College Blvd., Alva, is just east of the NWOSU campus. Sunday morning Bible class is at 9:30 a.m. with worship services at 10:30 a.m. A potluck lunch is scheduled every second Sunday of the month after the morning service. Wednesday night Bible classes are at 7 p.m.

The Children of Light program for children up to the sixth grade is held Sunday at 5 p.m. with stories, crafts, songs and refreshments. Collection of clean warm clothing and blankets in good repair has begun. Clothing for all ages and sizes accepted. Please leave donations at the south back door on the east side of the church building. Giveaway of the clothing will be on Saturday, Dec. 2.

Dacoma Church

Everyone is welcome. Fellowship coffee and doughnuts are at 8:45 a.m. Worship service with Rev. Don Jones is at 9 a.m.

eXtreme Youth Center

The eXtreme, located at 425 College Ave. in Alva, is a ministry of Hopeton Church. Students in sixth through 12th grade are invited to come hang out, play games, work on homework and enjoy time with friends after school from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The eXtreme is available to rent for parties and events. Faith Center Alva

Faith Center Alva is a no-denominational church that is a branch of Faith Center Fellowship in Meno. The church meets on Sunday mornings at 10:30 and Wednesdays at 6 p.m. Forge College ministry meets on Mondays at 5:30. Faith Center Alva is located at 324 College Ave.

First Assembly of God

Morning worship begins at 10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning. We currently do not have an evening service.

First Baptist Church

Sunday: Small groups gather at 9:15 a.m. Morning worship, with nursery provided, begins at 10:30 a.m. (Livestream is available for those who cannot attend in person.)

First Christian Church

Sunday: Worship services will be at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. Worship will also be online via Facebook live (www.facebook.com/FCCAlva). Rev. Drew Kirtley will bring the sermon, “What Are You Supposed To Do?” based on Ephesians 2:1-10.

Serving elders will be Jason Gaisford and Kyle Woods. Serving deacons will be Meghan Kirtley (captain), greeters Randy Tatro and Keli Woods, and Carson Gaisford (counter). First Presbyterian Church

ALL are welcome.

Sunday: Worship will be at 11 a.m. Pastor Nancy Ryan will bring the sermon “The Greatest Commandment.” Liturgist will be James Smith. Readings will be Leviticus 19:1-2 and Matthew 22:34-46.

Nazarene Church

Donut and coffee fellowship is at 9:15 each Sunday morning, Bible study for ages 6 and up at 9:30, and worship begins at 10:30 a.m. Nursery is available for children under age 6 during worship. Missions lessons for ages 6 through fifth grade are held the second and fourth Sundays of the month.

Sacred Heart Catholic Church

The celebration of Holy Mass (Jesus in the Eucharist) is the source of our spiritual nourishment. Rev. Father Bala, Sagili Jesudas, is the parish priest (pastor) of Sacred Heart in Alva and its missions in Cherokee and Waynoka. You are welcome; be a part of the Sacred Heart Parish family.

Town and Country Christian Church

Zion Lutheran Church
