Dempsey and Linda were married on November 25, 1958, in Enid, Oklahoma. Their married years have taken them from Enid to Kansas, Texas, and finally Capron, where they have resided for 48 years.

During their first 17 years of marriage, Dempsey worked in the electronic/computer repair industry while Linda worked in the secretarial and inventory control industry before becoming a stay-at-home housewife.
