The Alva Goldbugs were on the road Tuesday night to play the Blackwell Maroons. Coming off the holiday break, the Goldbugs are still without senior guard Daylon Malone who has an ankle injury.
Blackwell led at the end of the first quarter 16-12 and took a 29-27 lead into halftime. The Goldbugs took their first lead after the break with a two-point margin at the end of the third quarter 39-37. After several tied scores in the fourth, the Maroons managed a last basket to take the win 55-53.
