Cherokee school board hears about new initiatives, finances

The Cherokee school board met Monday evening for its regular meeting, and the first agenda item was recognizing the board for School Board Appreciation Month.
“We don’t have anything fancy planned for you,” Superintendent Bryce Shanbacher told the board, “but we just wanted to take a few minutes to thank each of you for your commitment and dedication to our school.” He said they were an important part of making Cherokee’s schools so good, with great facilities, top-notch teachers and wonderful students.
