The City of Alva launched their new website design this week. City Business Manager Stephen Ford said it is much easier to navigate through the menu. On the home page, you'll find notifications and updates from the city along with a list of coming events.

A new staff listing provides names of department heads and assistants as well as contact information. You'll still find information for each of the city departments. The website also has a list of job openings and forms for job applications.

Ford is especially proud of the new downloadable City of Alva app. At the bottom right of the home page are buttons you can use to download the free app on your phone or tablet. The left app is for iPhones while the one on the right is for Androids. By downloading this app, you'll receive city push notifications without needing to log onto the website. One of the recent notifications provides a QR code for donating to the swimming pool project.

The website is still at http://www.alvaok.org but it has a new look you'll want to explore.
