ALVA – Northwestern Oklahoma State outfielder Carson Wright earned Great American Conference Player of the Week to start the season. Rangers baseball won the opening weekend series to start the year 2-1 over Metropolitan State University of Denver. Wright helped lead the Rangers in the two wins.
In the series Wright finished batting .500 (6-12) while hitting three home runs, driving in three runs and scoring five runs. He drew three walks to raise his on base percentage to .600 for the weekend and totaled 15 bases.
