EILEEN REIMAN

Eileen Joy (Peil) Reiman was born on June 22, 1948, in Woodward, Oklahoma, the first child of Gottfried Fred and Rosa Pauline (Schafer) Peil. Eileen was born and raised in Woodward and attended the Woodward Public Schools, graduating with honors from Woodward Senior High School in May 1966. She attended Phillips University in Enid where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education, graduating as an honor graduate in May 1970. While at Phillips, she was a member of Zollars Literary Society, Cardinal Key Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi – serving as president her senior year, and the Phillips University Choir. In 1970 she received the Cokesbury Graduate Award from the United Methodist Church to attend Southern Methodist University Graduate School in Dallas. She later finished her Master of Education degree as a reading specialist at Northwestern Oklahoma University.

Eileen was married to Darrell Dean Reiman on April 17, 1971, in Woodward, Oklahoma, at Faith United Methodist Church. To this marriage two children were born: a daughter, Nicole Renee', and a son, Micah Lee. Eileen's siblings are Dr. Dan Peil of Norman, Oklahoma and Sheri Jordan of Woodward, Oklahoma.

Eileen was an elementary school teacher for 38 years. She taught two years in Woodward, two years in Capron and 34 years in Alva. Most of those years were spent teaching first grade where she loved to teach reading.

Eileen was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Alva where she served as Sunday school secretary for many years. Later she enjoyed attending Hopeton Wesleyan Church with her children and grandchildren. She was also a member of OEA, NEA, Alva Education Association, Alva Retired Teachers Association and Oklahoma Retired Educators.

Eileen enjoyed reading, playing piano and organ & listening to gospel music. She also enjoyed traveling with Darrell to Colorado and spending time in the Rocky Mountains and spending time with her granddaughters.

Eileen is survived by her daughter Nicole Towns and her husband Ric of Alva and her son Micah Lee Reiman and his wife Katy of Alva, grandchildren Bethany Towns and her fiancé Chase Zook, Aubrey Towns, Hannah Reiman, Grace Reiman, Cayenne Nusser (Derek), and her son Cason Criswell. She is also survived by her brother Dr. Daniel Peil (Marilyn) of Norman, her sister Sheri Jordan (John) of Woodward, a stepson Keith Reiman of Justiceburg, Texas, many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at Wharton Funeral Chapel on Thursday, February 22, at 2 p.m.; burial will follow at the Alva Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel LLC is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetic Association. Wharton Funeral Chapel will act as custodian of these funds.
