The local Northwest Oklahoma Genealogy Society will host an interactive workshop presented by Dr. Molly Barari at their March 9 meeting. Barari holds an MFA in creative writing from Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, and an EdD in adult education from the University of South Dakota. The workshop, “Heirlooms: Obituary Writing,” will be held at the Alva Public Library starting at 10 a.m. The public is invited to attend.
