Alfalfa County commissioners sending tractor and mower to auction

March 13, 2024

This week's commissioner meeting in Alfalfa County didn't have much on the agenda, but reviewing and signing a large stack of paperwork took quite a bit of time. Before getting to the remaining agenda items, Garret Johnson, Mike Roach and Nate Ross took care of all the maintenance and operation warrants for payment, along with some blanket purchase orders and last week's meeting minutes.

They approved the publication of items heading to Sturgeon's Corner for auction on Apr. 1 at 9 a.m. Those were a 2016 JD 6135E Tractor (invoice number D3 304-316, serial number 1P06135EJG00O1233) and a 2019 Land Pride RCM5615 R Mower (invoice number D3 441-321, serial number 1341310).

Next was a $260 transfer from the District 3M&O account 1102-6-4300-2005 to the District 1 M&O 1102-6-4100-2005 for gravel out of Guffy's pit. The commissioners then signed paperwork on the fairground's claim for the deductible fund with ACCO insurance for storm damage sustained in 2023.

Lastly, the three men signed a request to pay the postage for a flyer that USPS will deliver to residences in the county. The flyer is regarding the county's sales tax. The meeting adjourned after they determined there was no new business.
