TEDDY PAUL BARRETT

April 10, 2024

Memorial services for Teddy Paul Barrett will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Waynoka Church of Christ with Bill David Walker officiating under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka.

Teddy Paul Barrett was born November 18, 1945, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to the late Paul J. and Muriel Grace (Spiller) Barrett. He passed away in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on April 4, 2024, at the age of 78 years, 4 months, 17 days.

He was raised on a farm just outside Seminole. He graduated from Varnum High School in 1964. He was united in marriage to Charlett Leatherman July 1965. Over their marriage they had four children, Randy, Richard, Rebecca and Debra. They made their final move to Waynoka in 1976.

Ted was a hard worker and at one time owned and ran Ted's Conoco. He then went on to work as an independent contract pumper and did that up until his retirement in 2020. He then went on to be the doting house husband, running chores and fixing dinner for himself and Charlett. Once Charlett retired in January of 2021 they enjoyed their days together.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Charlett Barrett and both parents Paul and Muriel Barrett.

He is survived by his brother Terry (Sharon) Barrett; four children, Randy (Amy) Barrett of Alva, Richard (Elissa) Barrett of Glenpool, Rebecca (Brent) Carroll of Quanah, Texas, and Debra (Danny) McClain of Beggs; his four grandchildren, Alex Barrett of McAllister, Morgan (Kyle) Goodacre of Luther, Konner McClain of Beggs and James Barrett of Glenpool; three great grandson's Jimmy Ray Barrett, Bentley Barrett, Kooper Goodacre of Luther; and many friends and family.

He loved his family, friends and his church family very deeply. Ted never met a stranger and made anyone he met feel like a longtime friend. He was definitely long-winded and would usually be the last to leave church on Sunday. But that was Ted and for that he will dearly be missed by many.

Memorial contributions may be made through the Funeral Home to the Church of Christ Bible Chair.
