The Alva FFA Speech Team is State Contest bound! The Northwest Area FFA Speech Contest was held at the High Plains Technology Center in Woodward on April 30. The Alva FFA team brought six students with a total of seven speeches. To qualify for the State Contest, an FFA member must place first or second in their respective division. Merritt Mantz placed first in the eighth-grade Agriculture Exploration Division. Jansen Shirley placed first in the Plant Science Division. Katelee Martin placed first in the Agriscience Division.
