Two South Barber students place in Top 5 at state forensics

South Barber forensics students Autumn Drake (left) and Rose Thompson both earned a place in the Top 5 at the state forensics meeting.

South Barber Forensics Coach Meagan Henry missed the state forensics meet last weekend. That's because her young son Torin, age 4, ended up having an appendectomy. With a few "pep talk" phone calls between coach and student finalists, they made it.

Senior (now 2024 SB graduate) Autumn Drake took 2nd overall in Poetry with a collection titled "The Princess and the Pea Poems." Henry said, "Autumn is incredibly talented and was a consistently strong performer all day."
