LOIS ANN HUDGINS

A memorial service for Lois Ann Hudgins will be at the Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, Alva, 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024, with John Bizzell officiating. Services are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home.

Preceded in death by parents Miles B. Hudgins and Blanche (Crusinberry) Hudgins, sister Doris Kamp, and brothers Willard L. Hudgins and Miles H. Hudgins.

Lois was born in Pueblo, Colorado, and lived with her family in various places in Kansas and Oklahoma.

Lois studied journalism at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas, as a Putnam Scholar after graduating from high school in Independence, Kansas.

Lois was mostly a loner and spent her younger years working in cities around the country before finally settling back in Oklahoma where she started working at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.

She attended all the sports games at the college and took pictures to send to the newspaper. She also worked on the yearbooks, put out information on homecomings, and various other activities.

Lois was also interested in woodworking, upholstering, computers, reading and she LOVED cats.

Lois is survived by nieces, Gail and Debbie Hudgins in Tennessee, niece, Mary Margaret Harris, Texas, nephew, Jon Hudgins, Texas, and cousins and relatives in Kansas and Oklahoma who will miss her dearly.
