Let's all have a good Memorial Day weekend

It's kind of different this year because Cleo isn't here to mastermind getting the flowers out for me. I think Jennifer and Grace have been helping/doing it for a few years, so it will be done right. Cleo never would let me pick up the flowers to use again, because she said everyone deserved new ones every year. One time we were at a store closing and she bought enough discount sprays and flowers to last several years. The next spring when I went to get them out, someone had stolen every one of them. I always wondered if the person that was putting the stolen flowers on their loved one's graves thought about what their loved one would have had to say about it. Please have a great holiday weekend, get the family together, feed everyone, and share good memories about the missing family members.

There are lots of activities this weekend, but the most important thing for me is Karee Hada's memorial service. I want a nice day for it. This will probably be the last time I see most of her family because none of them live close. She and Phil raised a great family, and I will miss seeing them. I still feel really sad when I think of her, but am so very happy she, Phil, daughter Eva, and Cleo are together; they are probably looking down and shaking their heads about how I am getting along. Hopefully one of these days I can be reunited with them.

I was getting drinks at the Rialto, and the matinee was a show called “If.” I asked Matt what it was about, and he told me a girl could see a person's imaginary friends from the past. Glad it isn't real, because if she’d looked into my imaginary friends from the past, she would have tazed me. In fact, if she met some of my current friends she might taze me again.

A pastor was giving a children's sermon on vestments and asked, "Why do you think I wear this collar?" One kid answered, "Because it kills ticks and fleas for up to 330 days?" Too good!

Have a great holiday, be safe out there and God bless.
