    The Homestead currently has 53 residents in 48 apartments, including four Share Medical Center providers and one rural residency. On Feb. 1, the total apartments increased to 54 by converting a super two-bedroom apartment into two one-bedroom apartments. Another conversion like that will take place in April. Kelly Parker said that February was a rough month because at one point 25 percent of the residents were affected by the flu.     The cConvalescent home revenue for the month of February was $373,594, which was an increase of $48,147 compared to the prior month. Total patient days for February were 1,598 compared to 1,774 in January. Convalescent home operating expenses excluding salaries, benefits and depreciation for February was $138,030, a decrease of $27,204. The convalescent home net income for February was $73,415.     The Woods County Economic Development Committee (WCEDC) had their quarterly meeting Thursday morning at Northwest Technology Center. The board accepted the resignation of Kyle Murrow, who is moving to Colorado. They voted in a new member, Kay Decker, who had previously served on the board. Under an agenda item entitled website and social media, the consensus was the Chamber had engaged a firm to handle that, and that was probably sufficient.     At the Alva Hospital Authority Board meeting Tuesday night, CEO Kandice Allen told the board that they are moving Dr. Benjamin Hicks from the Hospital Physician's Clinic to the SMC Downtown Clinic.     A request from Charla Parker of the Nescatunga Arts Festival was approved to utilize the courthouse square the first weekend in June. Parker said this will be the 49th arts festival. The request includes the use of the lobby of the courthouse for sewing demonstrations and the lawn for a variety of crafts and art.
