The annual mother/son dance for pre-K through fifth-grade boys was held on Saturday evening, Sept. 24, at Alva Middle School. "Star Wars" was the theme, with 65 little star fighters attending. Energy was high with flashing lasers and streaking bodies as a fun time was had by all. Many of the masks and light sabers were loaned to the school by Dash Dickey for this event. This is a fundraiser for the AMS library to purchase new books. The force was with us as we raised more than $700....
