An Alva woman was waiting for a truck to back out when it backed into her vehicle on Sept. 14. The collision occurred about 4 p.m. on Barnes at Seventh Street. Jennifer Appleton, 29, of Alva was driving a 2008 Ford east on Barnes. She told police she had gone through the intersection with 7th St. when she saw a truck backing out of a parking spot on the south side of Barnes. Appleton said she stopped, and the truck continued to back up, striking the front end of her car.
